>therapist's internship is ending soon so I will either have to start all over again with a new therapist or just stop going

its probably for the best because I was starting to become attracted to my therapist. he's a really handsome older man and we had similar interests. i underestimate how nice it is having someone affirm you.
how's therapy going for you if you do go?

If you want my two cents, I think it's generally a bad idea to have a therapist of the opposite gender.

there are no good therapists or psychologists of either sex unfortunately

It really depends on the person and the case. I had a problem with my relation with other woman because I was constantly abused by my mom, so having a woman as a therapist wasn't really an option.
That said, if you're feeling atracted to your therapist, it will probably affect how well everything works for you. OP could become dependant of her therapist if that attraction keeps growing, and you never want that to happen

Just tell him how you really feel before someone else does. Who knows, you might get lucky.

Yeah I originally wanted a female therapist, but the only one that could work with my schedule was male. I was open to it because my first two (female) therapists were not ideal.
>first one was regularly 20-30 minutes late and kept forgetting info and texting me other patients info by accident
>second one was good but had to stop me to digest some info. i didn't like this because i need to get everything out or else i can't focus on what she's telling me
like info-dumping I guess. I like this guy because he just sat and listened and gave me a lot of reassurance and validation.

I think I'm already dependent hehe. I'm going to hurt myself later because disruptions in my routine upset me. Do you think it's autism? kek

I don't think it'll work out, he's married.

i haven't attended therapy since i was discharged for turning 18 and aging out of the program i was in. i need to find a new therapist because i am verifiably off my rocker and probably on the verge of making several very poor decisions, but the introductory sessions are always the worst. i remember being 15 and trying to spam my worst therapist with gore but being too retarded to figure out a twitter account. good times (?)
does anyone happen to know if there are big differences between an adolescent unit & an adult unit, and how they approach therapy?
