Youtube thread Anonymous 32910

Let's talk about youtubers we like and videos we watch!!!

What youtubers do you watch regularly?

Anonymous 32911

None.
I stopped liking YouTube when I was a kid. It was fine when it was that website full of amateur movie makers doing stupid nonsense for fun.
"Content creators" are a parasitic blight.

Anonymous 32912

Of Herbs and Alters. idk why I like watching her when she is a themby larper and washed out 30 something anorexic still living in her childhood bedroom.
HealthyGamerGG. I dont really watch him much but I like his personality, he seems kind and intelligent.
I used to like Punk Revolution Now!, but his recent work is too silly and extreme to be funny. It was funny when half the people who saw his channel actually believed he was like that and not just a caricature. I think he realized that his subscribers are not actually interested in any of his music takes and just want to watch him act like a retard on camera.

Anonymous 32913

maxresdefault (1).…

I'm too lazy to list all of them, but I feel like Vewn deserves some attention.

Anonymous 32914

Anonymous 32915

certainly not the woman in op thats for sure
>>32911
some people still carry that spirit with their videos but you have to sift through so much shit to find them you wonder if it's even worth it

Anonymous 32916

Like the other anons I don't really watch youtube anymore, but one who I check on sometimes is JJ McCullough, the guy who makes videos about Canada. For a while I actually disliked him but over time I became more interested in his videos.

Didn't she pander to a bunch of 4chan scrotes by parroting a bunch of racist shit? I always thought it was stupid because isn't her mom black? The fact that a bunch of supposedly racist scrotes will still simp for this half-black girl just goes to show that their beliefs are all bark and no bite lol

Anonymous 32922

Idk about racism but there is a pic of her at a pol meeting with degenerate scrotes

Anonymous 32925

How is Karoline a tradwife? I am pretty sure she is feminist, I mean a libfem, but still not a tradwife.
If you mean the fashion, what is there to look past lol? Her whole channel is about historical dress, thats why people watch her.
>catholicism
Really? Ik she is polish but I remember her complaining about billboards against abortion or LGBT, cant remember which.

>>32926
What's arguably just as pathetic is being the type of male attention-seeking content creator to deliberately surround herself with scrotes like that. I don't really care if Venti calls herself a TERF now, she did way too much male-identified shit. Reminds me of Doja Cat with that footage of her acting immaturely sexual to seek attention from all those 2/10 white guys on a video chat. Then again, Venti's parents died and Doja's dad was a no-show, so why should I expect them to have any decent self-esteem?

I used to watch mostly dnp, markiplier and jacksepticeye as a teen, if that counts. I still remember my friends introducing me to nigahiga and mychonny when I was like 10 or so. And kpop, fuck. Nowadays I mostly just use it for news, though sometimes I watch day in the life uni vlogs to get motivated. Youtubers in general these days just feel more formulaic and fake, as >>32911 noted

Anonymous 32932

my only problem with venti is the concentration of moids in her community. it makes her lives and comment section utterly miserable. also, she's aware she is speaking to mostly moids at all times so her content reflects that. she tried making a channel for women only ("ladies restroom" iirc) but it was also infested by unwelcomed moids.

she's never come off as pick-me to me, at least in recent years. i wish there was a higher percentage of vocal women who watch her

Anonymous 32935

>>32921
Yeah she she did parrot racist shit, and she participated in Charlottesville, but I don't care to be honest. I see it as younger her looking for approval, she has moved on from it now and makes content that she likes. She is definitely not perfect (her association with pedo Cumia), but she is beautiful, has good fashion sense, and I like her videos.

Anonymous 32936

>>32912
SAME re of herbs and altars. everything about her mental state confirms my preconceptions about gender people, drug abusers, and people with eating disorders, but she's a super engaging speaker and I can't even tell why. it's also surprising she's not more intellectually stunted given the extent to which she's abused alcohol/drugs from a young age. idk why she simps so hard after ash though

Anonymous 32937

Really? dressing like a hyper-feminine child is 'breaking the rules'?

Anonymous 32948

>>32941
here?
Well because they dress like dolls of children and because the clothes are not subjected to the male gaze from what I know

Anonymous 32949

>>32947
A lot of people who don't get the point have co-opted it with their own stupidity but >>32948 was the original idea, to do a version of femininity that wasn't sexualized for the male gaze

Anonymous 32950

>>32948
>>32949
With all respect, I think it is a bit naive to think men are not turned on by age-regressed fashions. If anything lolita infantilizes them and subjects them to the pedo male gaze instead of the normal one.

Anonymous 32951

>>32950
Moids can be turned on by anything female shaped, but aside from some hardcore weirdos, when people try to appeal to men with lolita or make it age-regressy they always sex it up in some gross way that barely resembles the actual fashion. Genuine lolita, especially old school lolita, isn't especially appealing to moid fetishes in it's natural form

Anonymous 32952

>>32951
I've known some weebs in my high school who were really into lolita and men never seemed prone to sexualize them. Of course, they were morbidly obese weebs so that could be why, but the other reason is probably that it does seem hyper feminine but not sexual, to the extent that it doesn't involve form fitting clothes or clothes that are particularly revealing. Men seem to hate anything feminine but non-sexual (pastel colours, frills etc.) so I'm inclined to think you're probably right that lolita doesn't cater to the male gaze. It doesn't seem like makeup where everyone's obviously using it to look attractive even though they claim it's for "themselves"

Anonymous 32953

Cinderella II.png

>>32951
Still, though, the Lolita fashion does share some similarities with medieval princess clothing and correlates with the concept of being a pure maiden

Most Lolita outfits that I see, bring me memories of classy and creppy dolls that my aunt used to give me. I don`t know why the style has this controversial name, given that the way that Dolores is dressed in the movie adaptation is very different.

Anonymous 32959

>>32955
This is why I never post pics of myself in lolita. I'm not allowed in my local fb lolita group because I refuse to connect my real name and identity with lolita. They were being really dumb and paranoid about it, thinking I was a creep because I used a throw away account. Well I'm sorry Miss Comm Leader Lady but every normie who sees lolita thinks it's age play and the name especially doesn't do us any favors. I'm actually surprised by the amount of girls who openly link it to their real identity

Anonymous 32960

>>32957
Lolita isnt about the book lolita, has nothing to do with it. Lolita is a japanese word for cute little girls, such as "loli" pornography. The style deliberately incorporates childish aspects into fashion lile frills, lace, bows, etc.
Those creepy dolls are modeled after how little girls dressed at the time. Its a childish aesthetic where women deliberately infantilize themselves and try to emulate the look of children.
Any aesthetic that sexualized stuff associated with children is just revolting and men who are attracted to it are indeed pedos. That includes shit like kinderwhore

Anonymous 32961

>>32936
>idk why she simps so hard after ash though
She lives alone in her parents house with no boyfriend or partner. She pretends shes having sex with ghosts to cope, and on top of that the ED made her perpetually 16.
She is lonely. She is romanticizing her wild past, and mentally stuck there. Of course shes gonna simp for her teenage sweetheart, I even highly doubt ash is anything like she tells us, she had probably built him up so much in her head and idealized him she doesnt even remember what he is actually like anymore. He's just an idea she longs for to cope with her loneliness.
Its rather sad actually.

Sapphic Underground is one of my faves! Her most famous videos are her lesbian short films but she also posts analyses of lesbian media, books etc. She publicly peaked some time ago and R*ddit troons and libfems tried to cancel her but failed miserably. Tbh I have a huge crush on her because she is sooo cute and adorable and intelligent =^.^=
(Picrel. She also has a gc podcast and has written several books.)

Honorable Mentions:
- KJK (obvs) (also BTW has anyone here ever called in to her terf talk tuesday line ? I remember a few weeks ago some American TRA called in and accused kjk of r00fying a girl that kjk had literally saved at a bar iirc, it was really weird and deranged and reminded me why we must support her)

- Jamie Hanshaw (schizo high IQ beautiful girl that posts about conspiracy and esoteric stuff, wrote books about it and recently did analyses of tswift and beyonce weirdness)

- Christina Randall (fun cute outgoing chick that started off posting about her time in prison and prison life, now posts true crime stuff which I don’t rly watch b/c I prefer her older content)

- Bazed Lit Analyzer (high IQ moid, also a conspiracy schizo and posts thoughtful analyses about literature and film)

There are others but I prioritize listing my fave women YTbers. BLA is an exception simply because his content is too unique to not share and I figure some /lit/ cc anonettes might be into his stuff (and SU’s too)

Why is it that women can’t shitpost and be edgy without it being called pandering? Will we ever make it out of the monolith?

Anonymous 34305

>>34302
It's funny how women are the ones who perpetuate this and put each other into this box and if you're seen doing anything outside of that box, you're basically expelled from the "group". They'll say you're a pickme, nlogs or panderer to reinforce this dynamic. It can be anything from having edgy humor or just having different opinions but that's enough to cause this. Even if nobody is talking about moids, they're still somehow brought up which is so ironic. I have so many examples and things I want to say but it's 3am so what's the point.

Anonymous 34306

I stopped having a "favorite YouTuber" since maybe 3 years ago. But recently I've been watching orangepeanut. He can be pretty funny sometimes. I think he has potential since he's still so young (and it makes me feel embarrassed for watching someone younger than me idk)

I think this is a very interesting phenomenon to observe and isn't just exclusive to women but it's definitely more noticeable in women. Groupthink becomes a thing in communities everywhere whether online or in actual communities in the world. You can see it on female imageboards such as CC and LC. It's weird because the women who use these places wouldn't consider themselves "normie" for whatever reason but once they do see someone who actually has idiosyncratic opinions, you're suddenly a pickme or "not like other girls" or even accused of being a man. But what I'm talking about is female socialization in general and shunning those who are actually different. You have to be the "right" kind of different to be accepted but if you go beyond that, then you're persona non grata. Imageboards aside, just observe female group dynamics irl and you'll understand what I'm talking about because any woman aware of this sees this in female groups all the time. It's something I've noticed since I was a kid but it's just more subtle when you're an adult which makes it even more brutal. It's purely projection when they call you a pickme because they themselves view the things they do or say in the lens of men even if it's subconscious. It's all a rigid pecking order and group signaling. I'm sure there's lots of women who don't fall for this shit or play these mind games but people in general are just stupid and easily swayed which is why things such as totalitarian governments prevailed. Nobody questions anything and conformity is prioritized. I know I'm just rambling and not very articulate and everything on the internet is fake but it still sucks to see

I think the thing that bothers me the most about it is that no matter what you do, it’s always perceived sexually. If you are authentically a sperg, you’re doing it for sexual reasons. If you’re a 100% perfect Nona cyber angel, it’s because you are hyper-fixated with not being perceived sexually. It stinks that women have to be mean to other women in order to preserve their own place in the female hierarchy. I understand the need for board culture, but it just makes me sad that it’s not enough to just be yourself. These girls have to attack other women for being a little weird. I’ve been seeing it a lot more lately with the rise of Twitter culture. I happen to know a lot of girls who would be considered “pick-mes” who don’t really share their opinions on things because they don’t want other women being nasty to them. Sorry if this is just a long bitchfest on my part, I appreciated your post.

Anonymous 34313

>>34312
>I happen to know a lot of girls who would be considered “pick-mes” who don’t really share their opinions on things
Good.

Anonymous 34314

>>34313
Not really, considering the things that get a girl called a “pick-me” lately are getting more and more into “normal” territory. It started out as a useful word to describe an obvious demographic (people like JustPearlyThings) and has kind of now just become a slap-fight word when you disagree with another woman.

Anonymous 34315

An example?

>>34315
For example, women who are interested in becoming mothers. Both discussing wanting to be a mother and already being a mother are met with nastiness in (non-mumsnet) online women’s spaces. I see a lot of awful remarks to women surrounding motherhood and it kind of sucks because obviously not every woman who wants to be a mother is some RW self-hating mommy blogger, but I see them get treated this way online. I see a lot of people dehumanizing mothers and trying to make them feel like they should stop making motherhood their whole personality and get a hobby on one hand, and then on the other hand get offline/stop indulging in hobbies and pay attention to their kids. It’s sad to see because it’s something built into being a woman that only women get to experience but wanting it for yourself or enjoying it is enough to get you called a pick-me. While I understand that there are annoying women who broadcast their fertility to an audience of men for wienerpoints, I don’t think it’s fair to hold just regular s to the same standard in a female space. Sorry I’m derailing, Nona, you get the point. I’ll stop after this!

Anonymous 34327

The only Youtubers I watch on a regular basis are channels where women post free work-out routines that I can do at home with little to no equipment, because fuck paying for a personal trainer or a gym membership. I'm also a bit of a shut-in so that's a factor too I guess.

I do a variety of genres of exercise and base my channel selection on whether or not I want to have a body that looks like the YouTuber's.

Anyway;

Yoga: https://www.youtube.com/@yogawithadriene/videos

Calisthenics: https://www.youtube.com/@lucylismore/videos

Ballet (im not a dancer I just admire their strength and grace): https://www.youtube.com/@JasmineMcDonald

Also, I'm more focused on losing weight than bulking up (tho I do want visible, strong muscles), but if you wanna be a weight-lifting muscle-girl check out: https://www.youtube.com/@theleanbeefpatty/videos imo she's visibly very bulky and strong but still femme (this may be more of a thirst follow for me)

I love Tangomushi! She covers old Japanese horror franchises with great retrospectives and commentary. Her videos are long and well researched so they don't come out too often but I'm always checking to see if she's posted something new. She takes these games from an unabashedly woman's perspective too which is nice to see cause most of these games deal with female-specific horrors. Haunting Grounds is an example of a game where her commentary exceeds anyone I've seen cover the game cause she had read so many more sources and being a woman she discussed the scares much better.
Another game channel I really like is "fakegamergirl" who does sims 4 content. It's cute and hilarious. She reviews dlc and creates cute builds and things
