Is there any malice@doll enjoyers on this site? Anonymous 38029

I came across this obscure cgi anime a couple months back and I would like to discuss it with someone. Problem is, I can't find any fandom spaces for this thing.

I've never heard of it, but I'll look it up online. If I find it, I'll watch it when I have time and come back here to comment.

That makes me very happy to hear, the 3 episodes were uploaded to the internet archive.

I watched the anime, and the 2D modeling with a 3D aspect is actually quite interesting. It's a shame it's so old and so dark that there were times I couldn't understand what was happening on screen. The only thing I could understand from the story was that Malice no longer wanted to exist as a sexbot in an unhealthy environment and needed to break free. I won't even comment on the hypersexualization of the characters, because, you know, it's an old and obscure anime, I kind of should have gotten used to it or simply stopped watching cartoons designed by Asian moid.

"I kind of should have gotten used to it or simply stopped watching cartoons designed by Asian moid."
That made me laugh out loud. I'm glad you found the visuals interesting, even if the story was confusing. The themes of artifical lifeforms, objectification of the female body, the inherent horror of mortality are what stood out to me.

But I found it really sad, even though the anime isn't that deep. I'm emotional and a crybaby, and I found the sexbots wandering aimlessly through a run-down red-light district particularly heartbreaking. I also found Malice kissing the bot who worked in the plumbing and the way she treated Heather very sweet. But the anime has that old hypersexual tone of 90s cyberpunk anime. Men are already a bit weird, to say the least, but Japanese anime seems even more so. There are few anime I've seen in which women and girls aren't hypersexualized, although I don't like to make a big deal out of that kind of thing, because I think it gives too much power to the "malegaze"

I watched the first chapter on youtube. It really has a 90s/early 2000s feel. I like it but I don't get why being raped by a machine made Malice human.
