>>38425I remember watching this as it came out, the hiatuses it would go on were honestly insane, and I still have no idea how they got away with it without just getting cancelled somewhere in production hell. That alone I think made it feel awful to follow in real time, but I had a few friendships and a potential younger sibling that sort of hinged on me following it for discussion points, so I persisted anyway. There were some cool moments, and the songs really were nice (I think my favorite is still Patti LuPone's "What's the Use of Feeling (Blue)?"), but having made it to the end, I don't think I'd earnestly say things like "it was worth it" or "I hope we get ten more shows like SU!" I wonder, in the world where it did get cancelled, we would have been spared not just SUF, but also stuff like Hazbin and maybe even High Guardian Spice. I still really like hand drawn animation, so I try to support it when I can, but it's a bad feeling with what gets to succeed, sometimes.
