doesn't need to be character related, but the majority of audiences hone onto that
so, certain relationships, platonic or romantic? like enemies to lovers, sunshine and moon, jaded adult with their adoptee apprentice, one-sided fixation, etc
i've got a thing for composed characters losing their composure, or personality switches under certain conditions. very self-indulgent, nice and fanfic-y
do you think any tropes are way too overdone, or do you enjoy them regardless? i started to find a lot of them pathetic, but then looped right back around to re-embracing it all

I like over the top mental breakdown moments. Flat eyes, manic laughter, holding the head and screaming into the void. Idk why I'm like this

>scenesWhen a character reveals they were strong all along after their weakness was a running gag. Or any other flavour of a person "getting serious" to save the day when hope is lost, usually unexpectedly. It's satisfying to see the cast's expectations flipped, to know they'll reconsider everything they ever knew about who someone truly is. I guess it's because I've got a thing for the breakdown of expectations and a transformed reputation. Don't know what that says about me, but I think it's the "wow"ing factor. Shocking people into considering you in a new light
>>39409Same, but not when they're actually dumb. Brain damage-d as an exception maybe, but the trope is better imo if they can use important logic but choose not to for fun. Or just don't get only a couple things, like how to socialise properly. Cus big idiots get dependant, and the appeal of that isn't lost on me, but it's annoying sometimes
