When beginning as recruits, the men's nature is to be violently competitive against eachother, and as a result they get broken down, and built back as a team. because the whole point of basic training is to ingrain into you that working together as a team is a better way to not fucking die.
When beginning as recruits, the women's on the other hand is to help eachother, and come together as one little "tribe" (for lack of a better word). once they get comfortable with each other, and shit starts to get rough, they start the infighting and start sabotaging eachother and other petty bullshit. any drill sgt will confirm exactly that for both men and women. they way we interract socially is influenced so much by the 2 billion years of evolution preceding us, and men and women have different traits to fit the different roles we've filled throughout that last 2 billion years. it's just survival
