Why do I like yaoi so much when I can't stand irl homosexual moids?

Anonymous 261830

>>261829
for the same reasons moids like lesbian porn i guess.

Anonymous 261831

Real moids are mean, smelly, and disappointing. When they're characters in a story, they don't interact with you so their flaws don't offend you as much as irl.

Anonymous 261842

Fh6Np84XkAACZPc.jp…

bc it's written by women for women using pretty boys as dolls for a story/romance that women are interested in, and real gay men are men who like men and couldn't give less of a shit about women.

it's not like lesbian porn, that's a completely different psychological thing for men. women use yaoi to explore romance and sexuality from a detached standpoint. I think a lot of teen girls and women with sexual trauma/inexperience gravitate toward yaoi because it feels safer.

the yaoi game Sweet Pool is an excellent example of this- body horror about the horrors of going through puberty as a woman but with men instead. most Nitro+Chiral games are like this- horror romances written from a total female perspective about the struggles of being a woman, but using a male main character in order to allow the creator/players to distance themselves from it and engage with it.

I think all of these "mlm" TIFs are just a greater symptom of this issue where women realize that all of the romance they were raised on is just women's content for women all along, but they end up searching in the wrong space for a desperate hit of that fantasy. honestly I believe women are probably in love more with other women than men by proxy due to how much we all seem to yearn for a type of romance men are incapable of providing, but women know how to write.

totally different from how men use porn, it's carnal and impersonal for them while women just yearn for a soulmate situation.

Anonymous 261847

Interesting insight, I never got into it but I was always curious about the attention this genre was getting.I guess I got aware of it's existence way too late in life.

I have question though, is it ever considered these may be written by moids (gay or otherwise)?
I have no knowledge whether it is true or not for this genre, but for classic romcoms, there are definitely some made by moids.

Cute unrelated pic I found I don't know where.

I can see it, maybe a stretch and some bullshitting,
she likes yaoi because she likes same sex romance, and relates with the themes off taboo usually displayed within these stories
but hates irl homos because it's "too real", so she can't enjoy it the same way she can the 2D ones, plays into the repressed homo thing.

Anonymous 261879

Because real fags are annoying and oddly obsessed with women and femininity and boobs and vaginas; not to mention their annoying "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS KWEEN" slang. Yaoi offers the homoeroticism of real albeit straight boys while also providing the passionate, emotional, or even taboo sexual elements of idealized homosexual male fucking. No poop on the dick or AIDS.

Because that's probably the only way a male can be in touch with their feelings. Idk sometimes I feel like Yaoi it's hardly about sex and horniness, and because of that I don't believe that yaoi equals fetishizing gay men. Characters are far from being realistic gay men, it's male characters acting and thinking as romance-obsessed women, just like the ones who write fics and draw gay comics.
A pattern that's usual in fics is the concept of "the one" which is completely opposite to what gay guys believe in, having multiple partners and all that.
Of course there's also girls who are into "problematic" dead dove kind of yaoi but that's another kind of conversation and I can't really have a formed opinion on them.

Anonymous 262017

>>261842
> a type of romance men are incapable of providing, but women know how to write.
Could you elaborate on this? Surely you are not implying that you can only have decent romance with another woman.

Anonymous 262018

This is probably not the usual reasoning, but it's easier to imagine the dominant male as an androgynous woman than to find that dynamic in het content without being pornified for the (internalised) male gaze.

Anonymous 262020

>>262018
What dynamic do you mean?

Anonymous 262039

>>262020
Male being dominated and abused?

Anonymous 262073

Real humans are gross and men especially, though I treat two fictional guys hooking up the same as any other two characters. Looking at other people, I do know of at least one person that's into BL because she can enjoy male relationships that involve romance in a safe way through it, and without a woman in it to accidentally project onto, which would put herself too much into it. Maybe you or someone else in here is the same? I dunno.

Anonymous 262087

>>262073
Or you just find heteronormativity revolting and enjoy femdom

Anonymous 262288

>>262018
This is big reason for me. But I also just don't find femdom believable the same way as BL. On some level I feel like biology prevents women from truly dominating a man sexually, so BL is hotter.

Anonymous 262574

>>262307
I mean have you seem femdom? It always appeals to the male gaze - why the fuck would some dominatrix wear super uncomfortable boots and fishnets and shit? Oh yea because a moid likes it

Anonymous 262582

>>262574
Are you capable of not projecting your bullshit onto others for a picosecond? A woman can enjoy being sexually intimidating and expressing it through outfits. The fact that male gaze exist doesn't mean that femdom should not have a visual aspect to it. For example: The boots aren't there to merely appeal to the male gaze, they also make the woman taller and more intimidating, which is fundamentally tied to the core idea behind femdom. A lot of femdom play directly involves reflection upon the male gaze through explicit decision to not show them parts of the body they want to see the most or outright covering their eyes. If you want to deprive someone of something at the emotional level, you have to give them a little taste of it first.
Ultimately, it's an act that involves both sexes and you'll have to consider the desires of both sides, even pathetic masochists, before you partake in it, otherwise it's not a kink, it's sexual abuse.

Anonymous 262584

>>262582
Thats not sex at all then, but a cope

Anonymous 262586

>>262584
How is it "not sex"? I mean, obviously, femdom doesn't have to involve piv at all, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it's not what you mean.

Anonymous 262629

>>262574
If it's to satisfy the male gaze then why are so many men enraged by it and the thought of femdom? Could it be you're just one of those angry scrotes obsessed with male domination during sex? Is that why all your posts on here go on at length about cocksucking and submission ?

Anonymous 262674

>>262583

I don't know it seems kind of sick to fetishize other people's relationships that aren't your own.
Why would homosexual moids want to appeal to your senses when they're interested in what other homosexual moids want?
Imagine having your relationship fetishized by outside observers, you might even try not to act out the way I'm which they're interested in the two of you to make them go away.
Seems kinda pervy to project fantasy onto people irl.

I think men and women start at different ends of the track.
Where women want a soulmate, it become carnal
Men want caramel, and become attached over time.
This isn't true of everyone, but it's clear that men and women have different motivations that drive them but there is overlap.

I'd like to add that the yaoi/bl scene is almost exclusively female and with almost 0 moid intervention. Even fudanshis tend to stay in their lanes and don't pollute the space as much compared to other fandoms/interests where moids usually take over pretty fast.

>This is some bullshit. What 'woman's struggle' do Akira or Aoba have?

Well, in both of their cases they are one wrong decision away from being raped violently by either complete strangers or men who they knew and trusted. I don't really think men regardless of their sexuality live in constant fear/awareness of sexual assault like women do.

Aoba experiences being abducted and sex trafficked. Akira is definitely a more masculine protagonist but he still suffers a great deal of sexual violence being turned on him in a battle royale situation surrounded by predatory men who have one thing in mind for him.

Don't tell me these are scenarios that would play out the same if Akira and Aoba were written by men for men.

Also, Towa in their latest title Slow Damage is a man who seeks out casual sex as a method of self-harm by intentionally picking men who will abuse him. Not to mention that he suffers from disordered eating. He is NOT male coded.

You could EASILY replace all of Nitro+Chiral's male protagonists with women and you would simultaneously not be able to tell the difference AND be significantly more horrified by the implications of each of their situations.

All of the "uke" men in yaoi fill the same slot whether you'd like to admit it or not: they are characters meant for self-insertion by the female reader/player/viewer.

Anonymous 263332

>Well, in both of their cases they are one wrong decision away from being raped violently by either complete strangers or men who they knew and trusted.
Because gay rape is such a foreign concept to men? Are you calling the reality of being a gay moid 'woman's struggle'? Stop being retarded.

>Don't tell me these are scenarios that would play out the same if Akira and Aoba were written by men for men.

Of course they wouldn't because most moids find gay sex and gay rape disgusting, rather than hot - the very purpose of including gay rape in a VN in the first place would be nullified.

>You could EASILY replace all of Nitro+Chiral's male protagonists with women and you would simultaneously not be able to tell the difference AND be significantly more horrified by the implications of each of their situations.

Delusional. A female Akira wouldn't make the slightest sense in the story (join the battlefield only to get beaten, raped and cannibalised? there are no female Igra players for a reason) and would come off as a low-IQ exceptional individual. A female Aoba would have quit Rhyme after a couple of days due to harassment and her grandmother would not allow her to hang out with random dudes or in bars.

>All of the "uke" men in yaoi fill the same slot whether you'd like to admit it or not: they are characters meant for self-insertion by the female reader/player/viewer.

Anonymous 263914

Why are you so hostile? You realize you just answered your own question with the VNs main characters starting off without being sexualized or under scrutiny, unlike women. The thing is, men usually only get sexualized in certain conditions or situations (for example, when no woman is around, men go with other men), instead women are sexualized from the get go.

Anonymous 263990

I vaguely self-inserted as the seme because I looked at yaoi to see males in submissive roles in a female PoV kind of way.

I believe younger gay men have attachment to Yaoi and it feathers away and they move onto content that is much more self-insert. Which is why so little men are still part of it, except maybe those who wish to relive a life they never had or wish they had. Or perhaps why you wanna keep being young forever. Hence why you see now such a giant influx of furries these days because well, if you don't enjoy your own appearance and have body dysmorphia; who's to say you can't be your favorite imaginary, cartoon character
