Just be fat? Being a bit fat isn't the worst thing, right?
>muh studies
People smoke and drink and I don't see others making such a big deal about my coworkers going out for a smoke. I don't get why people can't be the same with fat people. I like fat people, they're soft and cute.

Fat people die in their 50s. Grannies will thrive into their 90s smoking packs a day of pall malls and virginia slims.
Unless you mean just chubby in which case I agree. Having bad knees and foot pain in your 30s isnt fun.

Oh, makes sense. Yeah, chubby is probably safer then… I wouldn't wish bad knees on anyone, that sounds painful… Sorry to hear that… I hope you're okay…

Anonymous 306811

It’s not so bad, now. My weight fluctuates alot, but my time spent too heavy has really taken it’s toll on my knees and feet in the form of nerve damage/RLS. Even sitting became painful because of the pressures on my ass.
This damage accumulated slowly over time, and I was maybe only 180-220lbs, so I wasn’t comically large. I can’t imagine what bigger women go through.
Even though I’m a fairly good weight now, those issues caused seemingly permanent damage that cause discomfort.
Its just something I think most people dont even consider when deciding to lose or not lose weight. It was something I certainly never considered as a downside until it was too late.

What do you usually eat and what times?
Start cooking and eat 3 solid meals a day so your body is less likely to snack
Drink plenty of water and cut out sugared drinks like soda cause that is full of empty calories and the water will satisfy your thirst instead.
Having a good hobby will help keep you from snacking while bored and will help you ignore your initial withdrawl based cravings.
All this with exercise of course

being fat means you are sitting on the passenger seat of your own life and the decisions concerning you are made outside of you.

obesity is the physical manifestation of psychological irresponsibility.

if you were part at least part of the decisionmaking process, you could gently advocate for lower weight. if you made the decisions, you could just decide to be thin. it would be a snap of the finger. but since you believe in the group so much and want to be the ultimate teamplayer so bad, you have to be fat unfortunately.

you're clearly retarded, how fucking old are you? 15? You really think being fat is just a decision? Grow the fuck up

Anonymous 308175

>>308019

not to decide to be at a healthy weight is a decision in itself. your core belief of irresponsibility simply isn't possible.

you are trying to life your life according to something that can never be. you can not not make decisions. everything you do is your responsibility. every bite of food you eat was a decision you made that you are repsonible for and letting yourself become a person who lives on autopilot, foolishly believing you can live outside cause and effect again is something that you decided.

The concept of own agency is a complex one, but there absolutely is a corelation between believing that you're in control and being able to control yourself. It may not be enough to just will yourself into never eating enough to satiate yourself, but it absolutely will help to gradually switch to better eating habbits.
If you choose to believe that the things are out of your control, then you will never make even the first step. It's a trap. A literal coping mechanism that will never make you happier than you are in the moments you're resorting it.

Am I the only one who has the opposite problem? I'm skeleton skinny and I can't seem to keep enough weight on. I've recently dropped below the recommended BMI and am getting concerned for my health. I think I'm just usually more interested in stuff other than eating and when I do eat the foods I prefer are probably not enough calories and big enough portion. I'm posting here because how do you manage to easily keep a healthy weight? Without forcibly overeating enough to get sick anyway.

Anonymous 308216

>>308209
add denser stuff. you can stir a spoon of peanutbutter into cooked/warm sauces or add sesame-paste (that's nothing but ground up sesame-seeds) to raw vegan stuff.

Anonymous 308218

>>308209
I'm so light people have been saying I'm severely undereating, but I'm still retaining this weight as I've become healthy

so maybe 17-ish BMI is normal for some people

Anonymous 308221

>>308218

>so maybe 17-ish BMI is normal for some people

very much doubt it. i had BMI 18 and my bones stuck out, my face was tense, hurt a little a and had all these sharp edges. i looked like a concentration camp survivor.

19 was ok though. i think 19,5 is my sweet spot.

Anonymous 308225

>>308221
My BMIs about 17-ish and the only bones sticking out are my collar bones so I guess it depends on person to person. I don't look extremely underweight or any of the sorts either. Most people don't believe I'm that light when I do tell them my weight

You can be at a healthy weight, eat healthy and still look fat, for some people it takes way more than just a lifestyle change but even without that, reducing it to "just a decision" that you take is fucking stupid. I can sorta understand your point about discipline and blahblahblah but if you really think that's literally all it takes you need to grow up

Anonymous 308243

>My BMIs about 17-ish and the only bones sticking out are my collar bones

when i was at bmi-18 my face looked like this and i could no longer lean on a wall because it would hurt me, clearly i was lacking cushioning! i looked like a starving hostage and my spine was visibly sticking out of my back. that happened during juice fasting.

maybe you have lost a lot of bone density? eating milk and cheese does that (calcium buffer system. to balance the ph in the blood, the body takes calcium out of the bones which makes the bones lighter and more brittle as time goes on. meanwhile milk is advertised to contain calcium but that calcium does not end up in the bones where it is needed)

i think i have a lot more bone density then most people because i started eating good early.

Nah, that's just dysphoric bullshit in you speaking. A person with a green BMI may not be skinny, but they sure as hell aren't fat either.
