Imagine you have such a bad personality you go out of your way to post on an obscure imageboard to have a place to express yourself comfortably in. Probably because you get moderated out and ostracized elsewhere.
I don't think this applies to everyone on IBs, but that's my theory for why I see baffling behavior on here for example.

people thrive socially on positivity. when you are directly confrontational with someone, it is both masculine, and it becomes a war. Masculinity is confrontational and not happy. it conquers, it is predatory.
society thrives off of productiveness, it actually breaks those who war with each other by jailing them or medicating them. not only this, but you cannot directly war with another social group in a social setting WITHOUT being passive aggressive.
If every social group at a restaurant was aggressive towards each other to choose who is dominant, it would be not fun for anyone including the dominant group, it wouldnt be productive for society, and they would get dogfucked by the next group to come by anyways. you dont have to physically fight to be aggressive and not passive, but imagine if every time you went to a social setting like a bar, every social group started hurling direct insults or debating each other. it wouldnt work, it wouldnt be fun, it wouldnt be social.
women are the keepers of the peace in this way. they hate violence, they hate negativity from men. htey want "security" which is just code for "let me do what i want and dont be bothered by it and ill choose you" this is completely against our animal programming, but women need the option to be independent from their man now, because of various "progress" such as women in the work force. they use relationships to enforce this, so if their man fights with everyone, and makes them look anti social in public, the woman just leaves. she uses this to bend the man to her will, as opposed to before in history when she absolutely couldnt leave due to the dangers of the wilds and neighboring tribes.
