The fact is you shouldn't use the same username everywhere it's terrible for privacy. They should always be different. Every time I think of or read something that would make a good username I add it to a list on my phone and I refer to that when I need to make a new account anywhere

A food you like. An animal you like. A character you like. Make up a word that sounds cute.

Unless you're planning to become widely known or achieve an influencer career you shouldn't use catchy names or the same ones over and over as it's easily identifiable.

Really struggling with that lately ngl. As a teen I just combined two names from anime boys I liked, but it was kinda weird when people actually started calling me that as a first name. Then at 18 I made my steam account and since I couldn't think of anything I just went with the name of the digimon oc I made when I was 13 (but without the -mon). I used that name for like a decade, steam friends I met irl even called me a diminutive of that name (which I did like, it also helped that's the same diminutive of actual, real names, so it wasn't weird). Nowadays I grew kind of tired of it, and since I've distanced myself from most of said friends and am currently talking to new people I want a new identity, but I can't come up with anything I like. Made up names, animal names, ancient Greek words, colors, words in other languages… gah I don't know, nothing feels right, nothing feels "me". I'm currently just using my favorite number until I come up with something that clicks.

Well I only set the same username on websites I stay as lurker than actively join the discussions. I do use different names if I actually engage though
