>>313244I have a skin disease and am very prone to infections in general.
I've taken lots of antibiotics over the years, I took some this year for a really bad bladder infection.
Never had any side effects from any antibiotics, ever. But I do read the leaflet that comes with all meds I take and they're very open about all of the possible side effects.
>do your own researchIt says the side effects right in the package, just read it. You can also google whatever is in what you're taking, but for most people, just reading the leaflet is enough. Unless you live in some odd country where they somehow don't require proper information in the leaflet, idk what that'd be like outside of my country (I'm German).
>several people skin actually worsened after using it for monthsI haven't heard of using antibiotics for acne, how bad does it have to be for you to resort to that? My skin inflammation creams all have warning labels because if I take too much of it, my skin will get even thinner and worse, but it helps in the short run. I try not to overdo it though, it's not like my skin infections are dangerous in the way bladder or tooth infections are. It's not exactly life-saving medication.
>not automatically trust whatever they tell youYeah, don't trust doctors automatically when they're overprescribing stuff. You can usually trust packages though, unlike doctor's words, those are usually well-regulated. Unless you live in some weird country where there aren't many restrictions on meds.
>side effectsYou know, the actually serious side effects from antibiotics are the ones that you can get if you're allergic to whatever they used in the antibiotics. I've never had that kind of misfortune, but it can happen to some people. That doesn't mean you shouldn't take antibiotics though, especially if it's for something serious.
