OnlyFans and sex work isn't empowering. Why do third wave feminists say it is? I don’t know one person who truly wishes for their baby daughter to grow up and suck dicks for cash. Rich women using less fortunate women for profit.
Disassociation is also super common. We know body dysmorphia, PTSD, anxiety and depression are more common among sex workers. Also childhood trauma (and probably BPD/C-PTSD) and SUD
I worked as a stripper from 18-22 and it was the saddest, absolutely worst time in my life. I just don’t buy it when people say they felt empowered.

>onlyfans is empowering
>according to the onlyfans CEO
Besides that I remember someone here posted a pornstar's account on how she was picked on for being hypersexual in school and porn let her "be herself" in that regard. Sounds like some women get sexualized really early and it changes how they see themselves in relation to the world. I think some can genuinely think sex work empowers them but it's a really distorted image of empowerment and indeed a result of trauma.

Empowering? Does prostitution gives you superpowers or something?

Wow.
Americans say tyranny is perfectly acceptable because North Korea is also a police state.

It’s better this than women being pimped and the videos being put on PPV sites where they don’t get a cent from it. If moids are dumb enough to waste money on porn then I say let women get the money from it.

I prefer OF over other forms where women get less of a cut. I feel like shitting on OF is mostly popular now amongst men bcs they're jealous that some OF girls earn way more than them. But agree that sex work in general isn't empowering. I don't think consent can be bought or sold on principle.

If you said that the government was wiretapping your phone in 1999, everybody would have called you a nutjob.
Now if you say that the government is wiretapping your phone, no one cares.
How can Americans sleep at night now or look in a mirror without feeling disgusted and ashamed?

>>313795According to 3rd wave feminism it does
>>313812I agree. Still not empowering tho. Call me crazy but I don't see how catering to bottom of the barrel moids for a living is empowering

>>313763>>313795>>313813>>313884If sex work is empowering, so is drug dealing. It's basically the same thing, especially in digital form.
Anonymous 313894
>>313893I'm sure some people depending on their life circumstances can believe drug dealing is empowering for them like if they're from some ghetto or poor as fuck and it's their only way out. Whereas a normal person wouldn't. Seems like it's mostly about feeling completely disempowered initially so people cling to a form of it. Context matters.

You know the US is doomed when Americans would rather attack those who defend freedom instead of criticizing the government that is enslaving them.
