What are your unpopular feminist opinions?

Anonymous 314421

It's an amalgam of many things now, what other ideology comes in waves like that.
Just make different words for the different currents when needed

Anonymous 314422

Feminism used to be about equality between genders, now it's just a way to degrade the opposite sex in my opinion. It became wayyy too radicalized and I can't personally feel part of it anymore, sure some guys suck but so do some women. Things are not always black and white.

Once a feminist, always a feminist.

> some guys suck
understatement of the century

it’s not, it’s about liberation of women

It’s packaged as freedom but it’s about making women into repulsive incels. How is it empowering to let yourself go and catch diseases. Basically like that degenerate fat uncle that lives alone spending his free time drinking, smoking and fucking hookers. You become genetic dead end while someone else’s kid will your home and stuff when you die.
What’s empowering of just punching the clock only to live hand to mouth.
It’s a scam by cluster b lesbians. First wave was legit. After that it’s been and social and mental degradation. These people are gonna have poor health outcomes and shorter lives. Nothing empowering at all

My main ones (at least for here) are that
>Muslims/Islam aren't evil and I don't care if a woman follows Islam
>I honestly don't really care if someone's trans and will probably gender them right if they bother to try and pass and don't try to coerce people into sleeping with them (I don't "respect" the rapists, pedos, or other scum of earth ones though)
>I don't think misandry is real but I do believe women can abuse and sexually assault/rape men, I also think women can rape/be raped by other women

You completely put what I said out of context. Men get abused too, both physically and emotionally, so many fathers get separated from their kids because the wife wants child support, there are many instanced like this. Men get raped too. Men can have struggles too. People tend to discard these things because of what women go through, in truth both genders go through struggles.

It used to be about having the same rights as men, such as being able to vote and work for example.

Sex is just hormonal profiles and that only goes so far. Sometimes feminists engage in the sort of gender essentialism that I'm trying to escape. Women and men are extremely similar psychologically but people don't really see the forest for the trees. Studies having to do with brain structures or personality dimensions usually include findings along the lines of gender groups being more similar than different, and variance within genders being larger than between them. Still, those studies are filtered to the general population through pop-science clickbait articles that make sure to emphasize every little possible difference à la "Wahmen be multi-tasking??" or "The surprising reason why you can beat your husband in Scrabble!!!"

I know misandry posting is usually just memes but most people have some level of real in-group bias. Being cognizant of the fact that we operate under similar psychological insticts, I can't be too mad at anti-feminist, pro-male men. A man's passionate reaction to real or perceived misandry is obviously the same impulse that I have when I perceive misogyny. If I was a man, I would likely also believe the weird shit that they believe about women. Realizing that, I'm hopeful that men can also chuckle to themselves and admit that they might be a bit Dworked out too if they happened to have gotten the X chromosome from their dad. That they'd be as miffed as the average woman is if their gender was the one that every major world religion had made some "stfu in church" rules about, if their gender was the one forced under might-makes-right to be living as second class citizens until recently. Atleast we have the pyrrhic victory of our gender grievances having more basis in truth and consequence than "me too went too far" or whatever
