First post here. Me and some friends are going to Japan (Tokyo, Takayama, Kyoto) in January, and I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations? A lot of the main tourist things seem to be heavily rooted in consumerism (Shop here, go to this mall, buy this thing) which is not ideal. Open to anything, just unload on me.
