It amazes me how primal people can actually look.
I could totally see this woman opening her mouth and roaring at a foe, and she has front-facing eyes like a predator. This isn't to say she's ugly, by any means (I think she is quite pretty by our conventional human standards). It just makes sense to me that humanity was able to take over the way it did. I'm just kind of shocked at how terrifying we must look to non-humans. We had to literally selectively breed and brainwash an animal (dogs) into liking us and our appearances over generations. I guess apes are fine with us, but I think they're just being understanding.
