Honestly? I think I am naive when it comes to the way reality works so, in my head, I feel like I can do two part-time shifts.

But also I’m wanting to move out soon and this — and/or finding some roommates— seem to be the more reasonable choice here.

It’s so expensive here… even a rundown apartment is $1,500 a month.

Yeah, I should probably start considering rooms. I’ve avoided them since my mindset was “what’s the point of moving out of my family’s apartment (familiar people) if I’m just gonna be in with strangers at their space??”

But also I think my main reason for wanting to move is privacy concerns. I share a bunk bed with my baby brother and there’s a camera in the room, for Christ sake. That might be TMI but I think it better describes why I’m so desperate.

That could be. But also it’s difficult not to play the comparison game from time to time.

It seems like everyone around me further ahead. Hell, my eighteen year old foreign coworker managed to move out on her own just a month ago. Meanwhile, I’m still being told I can’t use the laundry machine whenever I want and have to ask to leave the home if I want to go outside for whatever reason.

Yes! I’m currently working on that. I know Bumble offers a roommate option so maybe that’s a good start.
