You need to find somebody who you can not only tolerate being around but who is actively interested in things you're interested in. Not only that but they need to be attractive enough that you don't wince every time you look at them. They also need to know or at least be willing to learn how to fuck properly. They also need to be responsible in their daily lives and supportive when things are difficult. There's a metric fuck ton of stuff that can go wrong here so it's really unsurprising so many people these days view casual sex as the better alternative. Without cultural norms, laws, and religion keeping people in relationships, there's almost no reason to be in one unless you've literally found your super special unicorn soulmate which is incredibly unlikely.
