weight loss Anonymous 22845

How have you guys effectively lost weight? I'm trying a new workout routine and staying under a calorie limit, but this routine is pretty new.

Anonymous 22846

I haven't been able to effectively lose weight despite trying many times. I've been fat since I was like 8 or 9 and I'm in my thirties now with diabetes and hypertension. I'm getting gastric sleeve surgery in Mexico which is around $5k.

Have u tried ozempic or something like that? Getting surgery in Mexico is not a good idea sis

Anonymous 22848

I have tried a lot. The thing is that your enviroment really affects your chances of actually losing weight. I'm not blaming my parents, but buying take-outs every weekend really has affected all my attempts.

Unfortunately, the only thing that worked for me was reta. I've lost 40lbs and have been able to keep it down.

Eating stuff with enough protein in it is helpful when you're limiting your calories. It keeps you feeling more full for longer :D

Anonymous 22940

>>22939
Does yogurt have a lot of protein? I actually need to increase my protein intake. I've mostly been eating peanut butter lol

i've lost 20kg since last year, and honestly all i did was starve. i don't recommend it, but can't deny it works.

Anonymous 22954

>>22953
i'm also a binge eater btw
but the only thing that could stop me was forgetting how good food feels, and focusing on making healthy stuff the only option in my house. i tried to make myself believe i hate everything i liked before. it kind of gives u a sense of superiority when you're able to deny stuff, and becomes addictive at some point.

Anonymous 22955

>>22954
i struggle with binging too and tried quite a few meds for that, but the one that has been actually working so far is ozempic, since it basically nuked the food noise constantly hovering in my brain + makes me actually want to eat healthy stuff, it's insane
I'm trying to reeducate my eating ways meanwhile because I don't know for how long I can convince my doctor to keep prescribing it and J really can't go back to the binges

Anonymous 22956

>>22953
Don't do this. It doesn't foster healthy eating habits or eating smaller portions. When you start to eat again, because you haven't calibrated your baseline of what you should eating and also because over-restriction is counter-intuitive, you're just going to end up gaining it back. >>22939
Do this. Part of the reason why we end up binge eating is because our bodies need more nutrients, and instead of eating slop like chips, this will actually fill you up. Variety is very important.
