pierced ears Anonymous 22933
Growing up high functioning autistic I never wanted anyone to touch my face or ears so I never ended up getting my ears pierced
Couple months back the girls I was living with at college started asking me about it and I felt like they thought I was so weird for not having it
I've just been thinking about it since and I'm not sure if it's worth getting done or not
Is having pierced ears that important or a big deal? Also how does it feel to have it done?

Well they're putting a hole in your ear so obviously it hurts but usually they'll numb it beforehand so you don't fully feel it. I don't personally think it's a big deal and I prefer the look of no ratings but it is a pretty common piercing

Just don't get them pierced

I don't think it's a big deal. Different people and cultures have different customs too. My mom got mine pierced when I was a baby/toddler and that's considered weird too. There's 8 billion people on the planet, not everyone is going to be the same. If you don't like them, don't get them. I don't even wear earrings apart from tiny black studs sometimes, but mostly I don't wear them at all. Only my mom gets pissy about it saying my holes will close up and she'll have to take me to get them pierced again as if I even care. I never got the appeal of earrings either. I find them kind of ugly, even

im autistic too and got my ears pierced when i was as newborn for some reason, but as I grew up I NEVER allowed anyone to put earrings on me and now I have half closed earring perforations that I hate and have to clean even though I still despise earrings, so, imo, you got the best side of the bargain
