I have responded to this before. Of course we keep banning moids, but some of them have no lives and go out of their way to use public libraries' devices to evade bans.

I recently added more moderators, but everyone can help by:
- reporting moid posts
- not responding to the moid. Ever. Let him bore himself to death.

Noticed post counts in some image threads dropping without there being any recent activity in them. Have you resumed deleting everything that got posted through an offending IP, without checking what you're actually deleting first? Shouldn't you have implemented a VPN ban before doing that?

When a user gets permabanned, often after deliberately breaking rules or ban evading, I often delete their post history so there is less incentive to come back and look for responses to other posts. I don't do this if the vast majority of the posts in that user's post history are benign and generally I leave up thread OPs.

There are many genuine flaws with this site and I'm working on improving whatever I can, admittedly slowly and late, but these complaints are not made in good faith and don't contribute anything.

I'm not going to refute all of this bit by bit but I do want to say - and I wrote this before you reposted and adding wanting an apology - that I recognise the toll it takes on the users when spammers abuse the site being under-moderated and I feel deep guilt about letting the site devolve to this. Of course it burns you out. I see all the suggestions on how to deal with the spam and abuse and they usually sound reasonable and I wish I could implement them, but it's not as simple as it seems - let's use the example of not having enough moderators: It's not that I don't want to add more staff, but I have to be 100% sure about who I bring on or the whole thing is pointless. There are obvious problems with this, so our team is small, but I reiterate that new mods have been added in the past months.
In the past at times the CSAM spam was so bad I shut off image uploads entirely because many mods had quit due to the raids and I didn't want to risk having the site raided while I was asleep or afk. Maybe having a website with "opening hours" would be fun, but not like this. Since returning I have implemented better protection both for the user-facing part of the website as well as for the moderators so they don't have to be subjected to shock images. I did this because once again I'm aware how soul-destroying this is. In my private life I talk about the horrifying evil shit moids attempt both on the site and in my inboxes all the time because it's such an incredible concept to rationalise in the first place and it really fucks me up, but venting about it publicly would just feed into it.
I don't post about any of these difficulties because I'm aware I was MIA for a long time and have to try to fix some of the damage before doing anything else or even whining about the position I'm in. I'm just trying to keep the board usable and give updates and once we can see definite improvements (I have something in the works that will hopefully make a huge difference) I will open a bigger conversation about the less terrible things we can change to make using the site more fun. I consider this part of my apology, I'm trying to put actions before words, even if it's behind the scenes.

I made the site almost 10 years ago when I was in a completely different place in my life and never anticipated it becoming more than a small off-shoot. I know I haven't done it justice and my attempts at finding a new admin among women I trust haven't worked out in the long run. CC is a big commitment with a lot of challenges and I apologise to you and every other woman here for letting it get so bad for so long. Maybe I should have just shut it down, even if temporarily. I appreciate the effort you put into voicing your disappointment, I get that you feel this way about me because it's how I feel when I see our users entertain, flirt with and reward maleposters - I understand when you shitpost or provoke out of frustration, but we both want the same thing. I still have to moderate rule violations because the board moves very slowly and users set the scene for the rest of the thread, for better or worse, and users who try to integrate follow the tone and mood of the previous posts, which is why I delete posts rather than keeping them up with a ban message. Please be assured I'm not callous or blasé about any of this and keeping this site up comes at a big cost and I do it because I still care and have hope. I've spent years asking myself if there's even a point in keeping this site up or if it's doomed by its own premise and my neglect, but I've also had so many touching conversations with women who have told me how much the site means to them. I have a collection of emails and screenshots to keep me from just sperging out and shutting it down. I haven't done enough, but what I do (even if for a while it was just paying bills and keeping the site barely operating) is for the women I've met online and IRL that want this place to exist. Thank you for still being here despite everything.
