>>3374It's hard for your brain to focus on multiple things at once, so it's normal that when you're hyper-aware of your body, you lose touch with your mind, thoughts, and mental identity. That's kinda what people try to achieve when they meditate, by focusing all their attention on the breath for example.
Similarly, if you get too caught up in your thoughts, you can lose touch with your body. I think that's usually what people mean when they talk about dissociation, just from what I've seen. But it is similar to what you're describing, just what you're aware of and disconnected to is reversed.
