I'll start: I hate most commentary channels and debate bro channels. There all just generic moids screaming at each other over nothing and usually are racist or creepy in some way. My least favorites have to be TurkeyTom, LioConvoy, Xanderhal, and Vaush

I hate the way the website is designed to be addictive but most of the stuff it recommends is shit. They put so much effort into pulling you into the site and keeping you there but they don't care what kind of crap you watch just that you're around to show ads to. There is good stuff on the website but it's almost not even worth it because of how clear it is that the people running the site don't care about their users. It feels like I'm being messed with if I spend too much time on it

It's really freeing once you realize that most "content" on there is trash and it's mostly only useful for occasionally learning something you need.

My friend kind of put the problem with YouTube perfectly.
In the early days, Youtube channels were all run by losers who knew that they were losers. So they made stupid nonsense that wasn't serious and could sometimes be really funny. Then, sometime around 2015, for no reason at all, the self aware losers all started getting replaced with pompus losers who think they're not losers. So you get a fuck ton of pretention and narcissism and business/marketing minded BS where there used to be fun. Nothing is sincere anymore. Everything is just min/maxing an algorithm to make talking about stuff as profitable as possible despite NONE of these losers having anything of value to say.
