Really struggling with that lately ngl. As a teen I just combined two names from anime boys I liked, but it was kinda weird when people actually started calling me that as a first name. Then at 18 I made my steam account and since I couldn't think of anything I just went with the name of the digimon oc I made when I was 13 (but without the -mon). I used that name for like a decade, steam friends I met irl even called me a diminutive of that name (which I did like, it also helped that's the same diminutive of actual, real names, so it wasn't weird). Nowadays I grew kind of tired of it, and since I've distanced myself from most of said friends and am currently talking to new people I want a new identity, but I can't come up with anything I like. Made up names, animal names, ancient Greek words, colors, words in other languages… gah I don't know, nothing feels right, nothing feels "me". I'm currently just using my favorite number until I come up with something that clicks.
